Uber gives NHS Christmas workers free rides and meals - how to claim yours

Health workers will be able to claim free meals and rides to keep them going over the Christmas holidays.

Anyone who has an NHS email address can get two £10 Uber rides to and from work, and a £10 meal or grocery delivery over Christmas via Uber Eats.

This is the fifth year Uber has offered freebies to NHS staff, and last year, more than 130,000 took the delivery app company up on its offer.

Ash Kebriti, Uber's general manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “Almost two years into the pandemic, everyone that works for the NHS deserves support more than ever as they continue to work tirelessly to keep us safe.

"Once again we’re offering our thanks to these vital workers over the Christmas period to ensure they can get to work and home safely again, as well as enjoying a well-earned meal on Uber Eats.”

NHS staff need to ensure that an Uber account is linked to their NHS email. Users will then be sent a promo code which they will need to add to their Uber account in order to claim the offer.

The Uber and Uber Eats codes can be redeemed for trips and orders on the 24 & 25 December 2021 only.
