Uber Eats is launching a free toy store to keep kids entertained over half term

If you've got little ones to look after, you're probably ready for the half term break as much as the kids. But with attractions remaining closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, you might be wondering what to do to keep your kids entertained in lockdown.

Fear not, as Uber Eats is launching a free toy store on the app with popular brands including Play-Doh, Cluedo and The Game of Life on offer for children of all ages.

It comes after new research has revealed that 70% of parents feel overwhelmed as they juggle work and home-schooling, while more than half are concerned at the thought of a half term holiday with fewer activities to entertain children.

To help busy parents, Uber Eats has collaborated with Hasbro to launch a virtual toy store, offering seven of the brand’s best-loved toys and games for just the cost of delivery.

Once you've placed an order, your items will be delivered contact-free to your door in around 30 minutes. Impressive or what?

Each order will even come with an activity sheet to help their children spend time away from screens after nearly eight out of 10 parents said they want their kids to take a break from the telly and tech devices over half term.

Here are the toys included in the Uber Eats Hasbro Toy Store:

  • Cluedo - Suitable for age 8+
  • The Game of Life - Suitable for age 8+
  • Play-Doh 4-Pack - Suitable for age 2+
  • Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Candy Delight Playset – Suitable for age 3+
  • Yahtzee - Suitable for age 8+
  • Pit - Suitable for age 6+
  • Boggle - Suitable for age 8+

With almost three quarters of parents aiming to spend extra quality time with their kids this half term, the Hasbro Toy Store is arriving at the perfect time.

It will be available on the Uber Eats app to London and Manchester location from February 17th to February 20th.

Toussaint Wattinne, General Manager of Uber Eats, UK and Ireland said: “Being a parent is tougher than ever at the moment, so we wanted to do our bit to help bring families together and keep the children entertained while opportunities for days out are more limited. Uber Eats delivers items beyond food to help make people's day-to-day lives that little bit easier”.
