The Uber driver who took Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz to the school where he committed his massacre said he told her he was going to a music lesson.
The unidentified driver spoke to WFOR and said she saw the 19-year-old with what appeared to be a musical instrument case on Feb. 14, the day he killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
"I saw him with a backpack which I thought was a guitar case. He told me I am going to my music class," she told the station.
The Snead family that Cruz was staying with after the death of his adoptive mother said that the shooter often needed a ride to school but told them he was not going because it was Valentine's Day.
Cruz allegedly told their son that he was going to the movies.
The driver told WFOR that the killer appeared to be a normal person, and that she did not know that her passenger had attacked his former classmates until she was contacted by sheriff's officials.
She said she did not speak much with Cruz because her level of English is not high, but added that she is now afraid that anyone in her car may have a gun.
