An Uber driver was caught watching pornography by police on a motorway this weekend.
Police found the driver on the hard shoulder on the M56 watching the pornographic material.
North West Motorway Police were conducting their usual patrols when they made the discovery on Sunday night - reports Cheshire Live.
Officers found the private hire vehicle on the hard shoulder of the eastbound Manchester Airport Spur.
The driver was watching pornographic material on his mobile phone.
Officers handed the driver a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) which can result in a fine.
He will also be reported to the Manchester Taxi Licencing department as he was not wearing an ID badge at the time.
The incident was posted on the North West Motorway Police Facebook page, attracting hundreds of comments and shares from social media users.
Sharing a photo of the car in question the Police posted to facebook: "Manchester licensed private hire under Uber banner, driver parked on hard shoulder of EB M56 airport spur watching pornographic material on mobile phone.
"Driver issued a TOR for h/s offences and reported to Manchester Taxi licencing for offences including not wearing ID badge."
