UB40 singer Duncan Campbell has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke.
The band revealed the worrying news about their 61-year-old frontman as they moved to give concerned fans an update on his condition.
Campbell is thankfully now said to be "up and about" as he makes his recovery in hospital.
His UB40 bandmates wished the singer a "strong and speedy recovery" in their public note to fans.
The statement on Tuesday read: "We can confirm that our lead singer and brother Duncan Campbell was taken to hospital after suffering a stroke.
"While we can report that he is already up and about, we ask fans to respect Duncan and the family's privacy as he works his way back to what we all hope will be a strong and speedy recovery.
"We look forward to seeing you all on the road next spring. Big Love UB40."
UB40 kept their 37.5K followers on Twitter informed.
Duncan become the main singer of the band when his brother Ali left the group in 2008.
Ali later toured as a breakaway group UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey.
It comes after UB40 delayed their UK tour dates.
Originally the band were going to take to the stage in December later this year.
Their dates have been rescheduled to March next year because of the coronavirus pandemic plaguing the globe.
The band first found fame after forming in Birmingham in 1978.
