The United Arab Emirates expressed on Tuesday its solidarity with Saudi Arabia in wake of the recent decision by the US Senate.

Its Foreign Ministry stressed that the UAE has a policy of full solidarity with the Kingdom against the recent American move and against anyone who attempts to undermine Saudi Arabia’s standing.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry said: "The UAE rejects any interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom.”

“It expresses its rejection of any unfounded allegations and accusations and of all attempts that would harm Saudi Arabia's fundamental role as a major power that ensures security and stability in the Arab and Muslim worlds."

Moreover, the ministry expressed the Abu Dhabi’s appreciation for the distinguished position of the Kingdom in establishing regional peace and security.

The statement reiterated the UAE's unequivocal stance with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to confront extremism and terrorism and stressed the importance of international action to promote peace and stability around the world.

It highlighted the Kingdom's contribution in leading international efforts to combat terrorism on the military, security, financial and intellectual levels.

This, it said, has resulted in protecting the lives of hundreds of innocent people around the world, through its establishment of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition and its active participation in the US-led Global Coalition against ISIS, as well as confronting Iran's malicious regional acts.
