Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, held talks Wednesday in Dubai with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
They discussed means of bolstering bilateral cooperation in various fields and supporting development agendas to achieve common interests by diversifying economic opportunities and developing trade and investment exchange.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
Cavusoglu hailed the great progress made by the UAE in various sectors, and its advanced infrastructure and economic environment that is attractive and supportive of investment.
He underlined the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation in all fields, in line with the economic and commercial status of the two countries at the regional and international levels.
Later on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Cavusoglu.
They discussed various aspects of bilateral ties and means of enhancing them, especially in the investment and economic fields, and exchanged views on the developments and issues of common interest in the region and the world.
The meeting touched on Turkey’s participation in Dubai Expo 2020, which provides a platform for positive international interaction on achieving sustainable development and facing common global challenges.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing joint work to push the UAE-Turkish ties forward and build on the recent positive developments in these relations to benefit the two countries and their peoples, expand the base of their common interests and serve regional stability and peace.
