UAE Reports 640 New COVID-19 Cases

The UAE reported 640 new coronavirus cases on Sunday raising the total infections to 79,489, the Health Ministry reported.

The new cases were detected after authorities carried out 84,642 tests in a 24-hour period.

Meanwhile, 468 people had recovered from the virus after receiving the necessary treatment.

No new deaths caused by virus were registered during the past 24 hours.

The UAE authorities urged the public to follow COVID-19 precautionary measures, such as abiding by social distancing rules and avoiding large gatherings.
