UAE President, Jordan's King Discuss Cooperation, Joint Work

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Talks focused on brotherly relations and the means of bolstering cooperation and joint action in various fields, reported the UAE state news agency (WAM).

Sheikh Mohamed wished Jordan and its people continued progress, development and prosperity under the leadership of King Abdullah.

The two leaders reviewed prospects of cooperation between their countries and the various opportunities for developing collaboration in political, economic, investment and developmental fields.

They also tackled ways to push forward the relationship during the next phase to serve the mutual interests of their countries.

Present at the meeting were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President; and Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority.

The Jordanian delegation at the talks included Dr. Bisher Al Khasawneh, Prime Minister of Jordan; Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Director of King Abdullah II's Office; and Nassar Habashneh, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the UAE.
