The UAE gifted Kuwait a remarkable sand-engraved portrait bearing the image of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, entitled "Prince of Humanity", celebrating Kuwait's National Day, which celebrated on Feb 25.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, posted a beautiful video of the portrait in the making on Twitter and congratulated Kuwait on its upcoming national day.
"The love of Kuwait and the people of Kuwait is etched into our land... in our hearts... in our history... May beloved Kuwait and its amir, prince of humanity, continue to see years of prosperity and peace," the post read.
The portrait is the world’s largest to be put out on sand, with an area of spanning over 170,000 square feet, the artwork has also been nominated for the Guinness Book of World Records.
Artists spent more than 2400 hours to carve out the likeness of the Kuwaiti leader in the region of Al-Qudra in Dubai.
