UAE State Minister for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Tuesday that Abu Dhabi was contributing to the peaceful transition in Sudan “in a manner that preserves the state and its institutions.”
He tweeted that the UAE was maintaining contacts with all factions of the Sudanese opposition and transitional military council.
No doubt the country is passing through a critical stage after years of autocratic and Muslim Brotherhood rule, he added.
“Our historic and special ties with Sudan are eternal and we constantly seek to contribute in issues of development,” he continued.
“We are approaching Sudan from a national and Arab lens that aims to support its stability and ensure its smooth organized political transition,” Gargash tweeted.
