
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursday.
During the call, they discussed bilateral relations, joint cooperation and ways to enhance them in the best interest of the two countries.
Sheikh Abdullah said the UAE looks forward to working jointly with Iran in the field of environmental protection and facing the challenges of climate change, state news agency WAM reported.
Also, a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry said Amir-Abdollahian described Sheikh Abdullah’s recent visit to Damascus as a “positive step.”
