
The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention announced Sunday 1,590 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 213,231.
The Ministry said it conducted 125,232 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
In a statement, the Ministry held onto its objective to continue expanding the scope of nationwide testing to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases.
It also announced five deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 679.
The Ministry noted that an additional 1,609 individuals had fully recovered from the disease, increasing the recoveries to 189,709.
