What’s Going To Happen
WKU has been solid despite the 1-2 record and the loss to Central Arkansas from the FCS, but UAB’s story has been a whole lot better. The program has managed to rise back up despite losing a slew of key parts – or, in some cases, all of them – to start out 3-0. There’s one problem …
Alabama State, Akron and South Alabama are awful.
The Blazer offense has yet to be consistently great, but the downfield passing game is dangerous, the pass rush is among the nation’s best and … it has all come against those bad teams.
It’s prove-it time for both sides, with this game coming down to which side gets the better quarterback play. WKU can’t and won’t run, but the O line is good enough to give Steven Duncan plenty of time to work. UAB’s Tyler Johnston, though, will be just a wee bit better.
