U2 Sets Las Vegas Strip Ticket Prices And They’re a Relative Bargain

Las Vegas Strip headliner entertainment has always featured some of the biggest musical performers with fairly reasonable ticket prices.

Pop star Katy Perry opened her "Play" residency Dec. 29, 2021, at Resorts World Las Vegas and will continue with select dates through Nov. 4. Tickets for her shows start at $80. Adele's shows at Caesars Entertainment's (CZR) Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which ended in March, were priced starting at about $85. The singer will return for 34 more shows June 16 to Nov. 4, but tickets for those shows are not currently available.

When pop star Taylor Swift debuted her national Era Tour, Fortune reported in November 2022 that tickets would range from $49-$449, before fees and dynamic pricing. Demand was so high for all of Swift's shows that it's highly unlikely that anyone paid for tickets in the lower range of the original pricing. For Swift's March 24-25 shows at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, tickets were listed on the day before the show on ticket broker StubHub for upper level nosebleed Section 433 for $585 each before fees to center grass Section A8 for $4,302, Casino.com reported.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, which is currently on tour in Europe, will resume the North American tour on Aug. 24 in Foxborough, Mass. and finish with two shows Dec. 8 and 10 at San Francisco's Chase Center. No shows are currently planned for Las Vegas, however.

Springsteen Tickets Can Cost $7,000 each

Tickets for Springsteen's final shows of the tour in San Francisco can be pretty expensive, even through the official ticket seller Ticketmaster. Tickets for Friday night, Dec. 8, range from $157 each for side of the stage upper level Section 227 to $7,030 each for front row center floor seats. Sunday night, Dec. 10 tickets are priced from $168 each for Section 128 behind the stage to front row center floor seats for $5,839 each. Those floor seats might be a lower price because of lower demand on a Sunday.

The hottest concert tickets this year nationally might be for either Taylor Swift or Bruce Springsteen seats, but on the Las Vegas Strip, the hottest ticket in town might soon be U2's shows for its U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere residency at Madison Square Garden Entertainment's (MSGE) Sphere at the Venetian.

The good news for Las Vegas U2 fans is that those original ticket prices will be some of the most reasonable prices compared to Swift, Springsteen and other major touring performers. U2 released details on April 24 for ticket sales for the first scheduled shows on Sept. 29-30, Oct. 5, 7 and 8, which are priced starting from $140 with all fees included. The highest priced ticket for a floor seat is expected to be about $550, Las Vegas Review Journal reported.

U2 Sphere Presale Ticket registration

U2 on April 24 opened U2.com subscriber presale ticket requests, as well as Verified Fan Presale registration, on Ticketmaster through April 26 at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

U2.com subscribers may pick up to three shows and rank them in preference and request up to four tickets per show. U2.com Subscriber Presale ticket request confirmations will be sent beginning April 26.

Those who receive a Verified Fan access code may purchase tickets in the Verified Fan presale on April 27. Any remaining tickets following the presale will go on sale to the general public April 28. General admission floor tickets will be restricted from transfer and may only be resold at the original price through Ticketmaster Face value Exchange.
