Nov. 05--The U.S. dropped four spots into a tie with Hungary for No. 33 in FIFA's November ranking of the world's soccer teams, the Americans' lowest place in the poll since July.
Jurgen Klinsmann's team played twice in the October ranking period, losing to CONCACAF rivals Mexico and Costa Rica. Since reaching the knockout round of the 2014 World Cup, the U.S. has gone 10-8-5 and has won just one of its last six games.
With its win over the U.S., Mexico improved four spots to No. 24 overall, where it is tied with France. That's Mexico's best performance since June, when the country ranked 23rd.
Belgium, meanwhile, moved atop the rankings for the first time in the country's history, jumping over Germany and Argentina, which fell two spots to third. Austria moved into the top 10, grabbing the final spot, while Wales dropped seven places to No. 15 overall.
Chile was the biggest mover in the top 10, improving four spots to No. 5.
