Tyson Walker eclipses 1,000 career point mark

Something of note that went under the radar in Michigan State’s double-overtime win over Kentucky on Tuesday night was a personal accomplishment for Spartan guard Tyson Walker.

Tyson Walker has eclipsed 1,000 career points after a 14-point performance against Kentucky.

Walker played the first two years of his collegiate career at Northeastern University, where he scored 680 points, averaging 13.6 points per game in 50 games.

In his first year at Michigan State, Walker averaged 8.2 points per game and scored 296 points over the course of the season.

Walker only need 24 points to eclipse the 1,000 mark, and it only took 3 games for Walker to achieve the personal accomplishment.
