Tyson Fury will give up on Deontay Wilder feud if he loses to Luis Ortiz

Tyson Fury will give up on his feud with Deontay Wilder if the American loses to Luis Ortiz in their fight next month.

Fury is slated to face Wilder in a highly-anticipated rematch of their December 2018 draw early next year, after Wilder takes on Ortiz and Fury tackles WWE Superstar Braun Strowman.

Speaking ahead of his pro wrestling debut, which takes place at the Crown Jewel event on October 31st, Fury admitted to Mirror Sport that he would set his sights on the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz if Wilder can't get the job done against Ortiz.

"Even if Ortiz beats Wilder, I don't think he'd have the chance to fight me right away because he'll be tied to a rematch clause," Fury said.

"All of these big fights have rematch clauses and they won't just fight each other on a one-off basis, there's definitely a clause involved.

"So they'd be tied up with that because if Ortiz wins Wilder will have to do two fights with him and our fight will be out the window.

"So I'll take on the winner of Joshua-Ruiz if that happens."

The last bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for the American's WBC Heavyweight championship ended in a controversial draw, with pundits claiming the 31-year-old 'Gypsy King' clearly won.

The Manchester fighter, whose father is from Tuam and mother is from Belfast, was seemingly knocked out in round 12, but miraculously got up in an iconic moment.

Fury is still out of action from boxing after suffering a gnarly cut over his right eye early on in his last bout with Otto Wallin, and is targeting a February rematch with Wilder should they both be healthy.

So in the meantime, he has taken on the world of professional wrestling by agreeing to a big money match in Saudi Arabia with WWE Superstar Braun Strowman .

The pair will square off live on the WWE Network as part of the 'Crown Jewel' event that takes place at 5 PM Irish time on October 31st.
