Frank Warren has confirmed plans are underway for Tyson Fury to fight in London before the end of the year.

The WBC heavyweight champion confirmed on Monday his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder has been called off after their camps failed to agree a date in 2020.

Fury’s attention now turns to IBF, WBO and WBA (Super) heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua with a unification bout between the two Britons set for next year.

Before that however Fury wants to fight back in the UK for the first time since the summer of 2018 with his co-promoter Warren confirming ‘The Gypsy King’ will be back in the capital before Christmas.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Warren said: “Tyson has said enough is enough, he is not going to wait longer and he will fight in London in December.

“That is what will happen. We haven’t finalised who it will be or anything yet, but that is what will happen.

“As far as he is concerned, that contract [with Wilder] is at an end. It can’t go on forever.

“Everybody has worked hard to get the Wilder fight on, but it’s just not happening.

Fury’s return fight could take place a week before Joshua’s next outing, with the 2012 Olympian set to defend his titles against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev.
