Tyson Fury wants to make WWE 'dream team' with Conor McGregor

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury wants to start a WWE 'dream team' with Conor McGregor .

The 31-year-old lineal heavyweight champion of the world will make his WWE debut against Braun Strowman at the 'Crown Jewel' event, and he would be happy to welcome the UFC star into wrestling.

Speaking to Dublin Live ahead of the event, which is being held on Halloween and broadcast live on the WWE Network from Saudi Arabia, Fury said: "I would 100% like to welcome Conor into the WWE.

"I could fight him, I would welcome him in, but who knows, maybe McGregor and I could be a tag team dream team?"

The boxing star has history on the emerald isle, being of Irish traveller descent with his father being born in Tuam and his mother coming from Belfast.

And he even said in a 2013 interview with Irish Central a few years prior to his famous win over Wladimir Klitschko, that when he fights, he 'fights for Ireland'.

And despite also teasing that he could be set to head to the UFC after his WWE bout is complete, Fury could only face McGregor in a WWE ring due to weight classes in either boxing or MMA.

Tyson Fury is a heavyweight who weighed in at 254.5 pounds for his last bout with Otto Wallin, exactly one hundred pounds heavier than McGregor did against Khabib Nurmagomedov in his most recent fight.

McGregor has announced a cage return for January 18th of next year, but could still make an appearance in WWE before or after.
