Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallin has only sold 1,500 tickets, claims Eddie Hearn

Tyson Fury will be boxing in an almost empty arena on Saturday night, according to Eddie Hearn.

The former heavyweight world champion takes on the unbeaten but unknown Swede Otto Wallin in Las Vegas.

Fury knows victory will set him up for a second shot at current ruler Deontay Wilder next February.

But according to Hearn, who promotes Anthony Joshua, only 1500 tickets have been sold for the fight at the 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena.

“I saw it as an exhibition, because the fight is so bad,” he told Fight Hype.

“Top Rank and ESPN have got to be throwing up. They’ve sold like 1500 tickets for Saturday night. No one is going to be watching.

“All the momentum Fury had off the back of the [DeonWilder fight. Where’s it gone? We’re trying to build towards a monster second fight.”

Fury had been due to face Wilder for a second time earlier this year but instead pulled out negotiations to sign a five-fight, £80million deal with ESPN.

His first bout of the contract saw him stop Tom Schwarz in the second round, with a similar result expected this weekend.

And Hearn added: “To take two poor fights like that and waste your year, good luck to Tyson Fury .

“He’s being given fights he can’t lose, but isn’t that boring?

“You’ve got a fight taking place this Saturday, and no one is even mentioning it.

“He’s supposed to be the best heavyweight in the world.

“Anthony Joshua just lost, and he can sneeze on a camera, and the world’s watching. It’s crazy.
