Tyson Fury vs Jarrell Miller would be one of boxing's biggest fights, claims American's promoter

Tyson Fury clashing with drugs cheat Jarrell Miller would be one of boxing’s biggest box office fights, claims the American’s camp.

Fury’s team are considering choosing Miller for his next fight in New York’s Madison Square Garden on October 5, despite his three failed drugs tests.

The undefeated Miller was ringside for Fury’s two-round demolition of Tom Schwarz at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday and says he would face the former unified heavyweight world champ “straight away”.

The disgraced fighter’s co-promoter Dimitriy Salita claims he has yet to speak to Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank and says a showdown between the pair would be massive.

“Jarrell is one of the biggest names in the heavyweight division,” Salita told Sky Sports.

“With him being at the Tyson Fury fight, I understand that speculation of that match is natural, but there have not been any discussions regarding a fight with Tyson Fury.

“When the time is right, with the personality of both fighters, it will be one of the biggest fights and most exciting promotions in boxing.”

Miller, 30, would need a licence from the New York State Athletic Commission to face Fury in his home city and he was suspended for six months by the WBA for his failed drugs tests, which scuppered his fight with Anthony Joshua.

Fury, 30, who extended his unbeaten record to 28-0-1 against Schwarz, wants another fight in the autumn before pursuing a rematch with Deontay Wilder in 2020.
