Tyson Fury's next fight against Dillian Whyte is likely to take place in March in Cardiff, his promoter Frank Warren has stated.
Fury will defend his WBC heavyweight title against his fellow Brit after the governing body finally ordered the fight earlier this year.
The next fight for the Gypsy King has long been set to bring the champ back to UK shores, where he hasn't fought since 2018 as his three fights against Deontay Wilder were all in Las Vegas.
However, while Fury has stated his dream previously to fight at Manchester United's Old Trafford, the bout is likely to take place in Wales.
“We all know what he said he wants to do. It won’t be in February, if it is on and hopefully we can get it on, it will be some time in mid-March onwards," he told Talksport.
“But to put it into any stadium that doesn’t have a roof, and unfortunately none of them have roofs other than Cardiff, that’s where we are.
“We won’t exactly be out in out shorts will we in March? And the football season is on so that would be a problem with nearly all the grounds. Cardiff would look to the be the favourite.”
Victory for Fury would open the doors for a unification bout against the winner of Anthony Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, with the latter backed to win by Warren.
“I hope that I am wrong, I believe Usyk will beat Joshua, but I hope Joshua wins because it then sets up the fight that we would all like to see.
“Although, right at this moment, the fight I want to see is Usyk in with Tyson.”
