Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder: What time does the fight start in Australia, TV channel, undercard, prediction, odds and more

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will finally meet this weekend in their hotly anticipated WBC world heavyweight championship in Los Angeles.

Both fighters are undefeated but the bout comes at contrasting times in their career. For Fury, it's his first fight at the top-level since defeating Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf three years ago and the bout will be a test too of whether his body has recovered from the toil of gaining and losing over 150lbs in the last nine months.

Whereas Wilder comes off the biggest win of his career against Luis Ortiz where he recovered from a seventh round daze to defeated the feared Cuban and stifle his doubters.

Wilder is a very slight favourite going into the contest and a victory would put him in pole position for an undisputed championship clash with Anthony Joshua next year. However, if Fury is successful it's believed the American will be able to invoke an immediate rematch clause.

What time will the fight start?

The pay-per-view event will begin at 1pm AEDT, while the main event is expected to begin after 3pm AEDT depending on the undercard.

Is it being televised?

The fight will be televised by Main Event in Australia and will cost AUD$49.95.

Who wins the battle of the resumes?

Both fighters are undefeated but while Wilder has knocked out every opponent (39) he has ever faced - knocking out Bermane Stiverne in the first round last year having originally won the title from Haitian in 2014 points. Fury meanwhile has knocked out 19 of his 27 opponents.

Mike Tyson: "Although Wilder's punch is strong, nothing can compare to the mental strength Fury has shown both in and out of the ring. It'll be a close call, but I think Fury's got a true fighting chance."

Lennox Lewis: "If it goes the distance then it belongs to Tyson Fury. If it's a short fight it will belong to Deontay Wilder. This is an epic and most unpredictable showdown. I can't wait for this fight."
