Tyson Fury targeted by Alexander Povetkin after Russian's win over Hughie Fury

Alexander Povetkin dealt with one Fury on Saturday night - now he wants to take on another.

The Russian outpointed Hughie Fury in London as he recorded his first victory since losing to Anthony Joshua last year.

The 40-year-old is now targeting an unlikely last shot at a heavyweight title, and has Fury in his sights.

The Brit first faces unbeaten but unknown Swede Otto Wallin in Las Vegas later this month.

But Povetkin said: "I would like to fight Tyson Fury , he has been talking a lot, saying that I don’t want to fight him.

"I am ready and interested in the fight! I hope we will meet in the ring in the next fight."

Povetkin was awarded the win over Fury by all three judges on the undercard of Vasyl Lomachenko's world title victory over Luke Campbell.

After the fight, he said: "That was a great fight, it was really difficult.

"My best regards to all my fans in Russia, we are the best."

Fury, who has now lost three times at the highest level, vowed to come again.

"Thank to all the fans for the support and well done to Povetkin," he said.

"Thanks to [promoter] Eddie Hearn for putting me on his show, I really enjoyed it.

"I thought my fight was much closer than the judges' scores but no complaints. I go again Nov/Dec."

Earlier in the night, Charlie Edwards clung on to his flyweight world title after his defeat by Julio Cesar Martinez.

The Mexican challenger dumped Edwards on the canvas in the third round but then landed an illegal left hook.

Martinez was announced as the winner before the fight was ruled a no contest by WBC chief Mauricio Sulaiman.
