Tyson Fury takes children out of school as family goes on two-week beach holiday

Boxer Tyson Fury has taken two of his children out of school to go on holiday.

The Gypsy King, 34, and his 33-year-old wife Paris flew all six of their kids to Tenerife for a fortnight’s break.

Parents are banned from taking state school kids out in term time unless there are exceptional circumstances and the head allows it.

But the couple have already suggested their children will be out of classrooms by the age of 11, in line with Traveller cultural traditions.

Their eldest daughter Venezuela, 12, has already left school. The rest of their clan includes Prince John James, nine, Prince Tyson II, five, Valencia, four, Prince Adonis Amaziah, two, and baby Athena, five months.

Heavyweight fighter Fury, worth an estimated £130million, is set for a world title fight with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk later this year.

He and his family are staying at a five-star hotel where rooms cost up to £750 per night. The hotel complex boasts a gym, water park, and live shows.

A fellow holidaymaker at the resort said: “They seemed to be having a lovely time.”

Parents are usually fined for unauthorised school absences. It is not known whether the Furys, who live in Morecambe, Lancs, asked for permission to take their children out of class.

In a 2020 documentary Paris said: “Me and Tyson have talked about the kids going to school. Tyson wants the boys to go into education but I don’t.

"It’s not what we’ve done.

“I was brought up as a Traveller and I want my kids brought up the same. They will probably leave school at 11 and be educated at home.

"Until they take a husband or wife, they won’t be leaving home and I wouldn’t want them to.”

Fury said in January 2021: “My kids go to normal school. Everyone just does normal stuff.”
