Tyson Fury shares heart-warming update with 'daddy's girl' baby Athena

World champion boxer Tyson Fury has shared a heart-warming update with his young baby girl Athena.

The Gypsy King took to Instagram to share a video of the pair in which he kisses her on the head.

Speaking to the camera, Tyson said: "There's baby 'thena! Hello me baby. She's a daddy's girl! Blessed by God. Very, very thankful."

It comes after worrying complications for newly born Athena when her and mum Paris were rushed from the Royal Lancaster Infirmary to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, LancsLive reports.

Paris, 31, recalled how Athena was 'dying in her arms' with her heart beating at more than 300 times a minute compared to the normal 120 mark.

"They took her off me, put her on the table and resuscitated her. Tyson came running in. It was horrific. They managed to get her heart going and everything stabilised," Paris recalled.

Thankfully for Athena and the Fury family, Athena recovered quickly and she was 'completely clear and fine' when she came out of the hospital.

The post with Athena was followed up by another saying 'another night in for the Gypsy King' showing him, Paris, dad John and Athena settling down at their Morecambe to watch some boxing.

In another Instagram update, Tyson later cheekily added: "Another night in at the Fury household again. Watching what? F****** boxing again!"

It comes as dad John said Tyson had to endure a six hour operation after the third Deontay Wilder fight to correct a 'badly injured' elbow.

John said Tyson 'had to have [cortisone] injections into both elbows' and has since had 'bone spurs removed'.

Speaking to BT Sport on Tyson's future in boxing, dad John said: "He'll have a good hard-earned rest now and what he wants to do is up to him. I said retire, you've done enough, he's won everything, he's got no more to prove. He's got millions in the bank, he's secure for life.

"There's more to life than getting your brains rattled to please the public. He's his own man, he'll do what he wants to do. But for me, I'd like to call it a draw now."

YouTuber Logan Paul has also called out Tyson ahead of Tommy Fury's fight against Logan's brother, Jake Paul.
