Tyson Fury set to face Dillian Whyte in UK fight if he beats Deontay Wilder

Tyson Fury will fight in front of a UK audience in his next bout if he overcomes Deontay Wilder in next weekend's fight in Las Vegas.

The Gypsy King is busy preparing for a trilogy bout with the American, following a court ruling earlier this year where it was decided Wilder could face Fury again.

Fury 's bout with Wilder was widely seen as the final hurdle before a unification bout with Anthony Joshua but his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk has thrown a spanner in the works.

AJ will now face the Ukrainian in a rematch, leaving Fury needing a new opponent for his next bout - and it's looking set to be Whyte.

The WBC are likely to order that fight to go ahead with Whyte, who was ringside for AJ's defeat to Usyk, next in action on October 30th against Otto Wallin.

Fury's US promoter Bob Arum has teased fans about the potential of that clash, hinting at a return to a UK fight for the Manchester fighter.

“Dillian Whyte is the number one contender, and that could be a big, big fight for Tyson," he told iFL TV.

"Particularly if we held it in the UK, so that’s not out of the question. Dillian Whyte is a capable heavyweight. A fight against Tyson Fury or Wilder, whoever wins on October 9th, would be a very interesting fight.

“I think Tyson Fury is the much better heavyweight than Anthony Joshua, but it’s heavyweight and in the heavyweight division everything is possible."

Fury goes toe-to-toe with Wilder next weekend in Las Vegas, with the bout commencing in the early hours of Sunday morning.
