Tyson Fury sends contracts to two new opponents as Anthony Joshua talks stall

Eddie Hearn has claimed Tyson Fury has sent contracts to Manuel Charr and Derek Chisora as talks with Anthony Joshua hit a roadblock.

Heavyweight champion Fury outlined his plans to come out of retirement by offering Joshua the chance settle their feud on December 3 despite having lost his past two fights to Oleksandr Usyk. 'AJ' accepted terms offered by Fury but missed a proposed deadline to sign a contract and the fight was seemingly off, but Fury backtracked by stating his promoter Frank Warren had convinced him to extend the deadline for the fight to be finalised.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has since vented his frustration at Fury for putting an unrealistic timeframe on the fight being signed. The Matchroom Boxing boss has claimed that Fury, who played down a clash with Joe Joyce, has sent contracts to both Charr and Chisora for the December date at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

"What sort of idiot have you got to be to think that I have any say over Joshua's decisions? He accepted the deal and there were many of the terms of that agreement we weren't crazy on," Hearn told iFL TV. "But [Joshua] said to me 'I'm in'. It's never me trying to get AJ to pull out of the fight, he wants the fight but at the end of the day we're not going to put up with some geezer on Instagram coming out every day saying 'you're an idiot, fights off, I'm fighting Manuel Charr.'"

"When that happens, the other fighter which is AJ, turns round and says 'let him go and fight Manuel Charr then' and now Derek Chisora got a contract last week, so as far as AJ's concerned 'he's offering Chisora the fight, let Delboy take it'. It just becomes really boring and I don't want people to lose faith in boxing and lose faith in this fight."

Chisora has remained silent despite talks of Fury reaching out to him over a potential trilogy fight, whilst Charr has slammed Fury for agreeing to fight him then going back into negotiations with Joshua. 'The Gypsy King' told Charr he would fight him if Joshua didn't meet his proposed deadline, but didn't stay true to his word after being convinced by Warren to re-enter negotiations with 'AJ'.

“Fury, you are the same s*** like Anthony Joshua," Charr said. "A man is a man. When you say Joshua’s out, he’s out. You tell everyone, you want to fight me. Now you are like a duck. “Fury, you duck my challenge. AJ is scared and coming off two losses Why should you give him a chance?”
