Tyson Fury's shock suggestion that he'll hang up his gloves after this year

Tyson Fury has made a surprise suggestion that he will quit boxing after this year.

The Heavyweight fighter, 30, has a bout against Tom Schwarz on June 15, before another in September with an as-yet unnamed opponent.

After that, the Gypsy King has announced he has one more fight before he hangs up his gloves for good.

Speaking to IFL TV , Fury said: "I am going to be very active this year. I am going to have three fights, then I am going to be gone."

This now opens up the prospects that eagerly anticipated clashes with Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder may never happen.

Fury only signed a lucrative deal with ESPN back in February, with his contest with Schwarz set to be the first broadcast by the firm in the U.S as part of that agreement.

The deal has arguably made it harder to fix battles with Joshua and Wilder, with both boxers working with rival US broadcasters, meaning a bout with each of them this year is unprobable.

A rematch with Wilder looked on the cards, after a controversial result ruled his December bout with Fury a draw, despite the latter seemingly on top for most of the fight.

But Wilder has now opted to defend his WBC title against Dominic Breazeale later this month, while Joshua is due to face Andy Ruiz Jnr on June 1.

Fury himself has now turned his attentions to his fight with unbeaten German Schwarz in Las Vegas.

"This isn't a routine defence," Fury told BT Sport. "This is a dangerous hungry lion, who is coming to knock me out.

"He's got 16 knockouts in 24 wins. I think he's as good a boxer that's out there, to be honest.

"As good as anyone out there. Underestimate him and I'll be chinned for sure."
