Tyson Fury’s ex-trainer releases video to disprove cheating claims

Tyson Fury's former trainer, Ben Davison, has sought to disprove cheating claims surrounding the reigning world heavyweight champion once and for all.

A video surfaced earlier this month which claimed Fury had slid his hand down the glove to enable him to throw hooks with his bare fist.

Fury stopped Wilder in the seventh round of their rematch, having knocked him down in the third and fifth, following their controversial draw in 2018.

The footage being shown on social media claiming Fury to be a cheat was from their first fight, alleging that Fury slid his hand down his glove.

Ben Davison posted footage showing Tyson's Fury's gloves were on before his first fight with Deontay Wilder (Twitter/BenDavison)

His team have since denied the accusation, while former world champion George Groves reckoned it would have done him little good regardless.

Davison, in his corner for that fight but not this year's victory, recently explained why it would not be possible - nor advantageous - for Fury to modify his gloves.

"The opposite team are watching him tie his gloves. How can he tie his gloves, get it taped up, pull his hand back out, put it in the middle [of the glove] and re-do it? It’s madness.

TYSON FURY’S EX-TRAINER RELEASES VIDEO TO DISPROVE CHEATING CLAIMS

"It’s the way Tyson throws shots because he throws what are called throwaway shots, so sometimes he’ll throw a punch at you that he’s not intending to hit you with or intending to do damage with to make you look here or think about this.

"Sometimes he may throw with an open hand, flick it out to make you think about this, occupy you with something to hit you somewhere else."

But that hasn't been enough to dissuade some, and now Davison has taken to Twitter , in a series of videos, in a bid to put the cheating claims to rest once and for all.

In one tweet he said: "Here’s tyson throwing a “straight jab” warming up landing with the end of the glove which some loonatics seem to believe was empty."

While in another he claimed: "I just gonna put end to this nonsense. Here’s a video of Tyson getting gloves up Including inspectors and Wilder's trainer Jay Deas."
