Tyson Fury's dad wasn't able to watch his son beat Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas - but that didn't stop Fury Snr expressing his delight on camera.
Fury dropped Wilder in the third and fifth rounds two weeks ago before the towel came in in the seventh round to signal the end of the American's reign.
But while plenty of his family had made the trip to Sin City, father John was unable to due to a previous criminal conviction.
He spent the early part of the evening commentating for BT Sport at London's York Hall before watching his son triumph on his own on TV.
And as the fight was waved off 5,000 miles away, Fury Sr said: "Heavyweight champion of the world! I said he'd f****** quit, U said it! Now believe in John Fury!
"The Gypsy King has done it, the best heavyweight in the f****** world."
Tyson's dad has been a central figure in his rise up the rankings having trained him from the age of six.
But he was missing for a large chunk of his son's career when he was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2011 for gouging out a man's eye in a brawl.
He later added on his son's ITV documentary: "People denied him, people had no faith in him but look where he is now.
"This man two years ago tried to take his own life, now look at him.
"People, all the people suffering today - I'm a sufferer, but I never stopped believing in good.
"I'm the proudest man of Tyson in the world; how many people can sit in my position and say their son has done what he's done?
"I'm very privileged to have had a son like that."
