Tyson Fury reveals who he blames for Anthony Joshua's defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr

Tyson Fury has laid the blame for Anthony Joshua's shock defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr squarely at the door of promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua was dropped four times before he was eventually stopped by the Mexican American in the seventh round earlier this month.

The Brit lost his three world titles in what was one of the biggest shocks in the heavyweight division's history.

Fury went on to maintain his unbeaten record with a second-round stoppage of Tom Schwarz two weeks later.

Hearn has repeatedly criticised Fury's choice of opponents - and the former world champion has hit back.

"Of course Eddie Hearn would say something negative because his golden goose has just been splattered by a fat man. He’s got to try and discredit me to make himself look good," he told iFL TV.

"Everybody who he doesn't have is s***; everyone he has something to do with is great. You can’t believe a word he says; in my opinion he knows nothing about boxing.

“He got Derek Chisora beat by Agit Kabayel for not doing his homework. He got Joshua beat by Ruiz because he looked at the man’s body and didn't study boxing; that's the truth of the matter."

Joshua is set to announce the date and venue of his rematch with Ruiz Jr with a return to Madison Square Garden in New York on the cards.

And Ruiz insists he will triumph again, because the Brit is "not good at boxing".

"The rematch is gonna be the same," he said.

"I'm gonna be more prepared, more ready. I know his flaws, I can do a lot better. I think the only thing he can do is just run around.

"He’s not good at boxing, he’s not a good boxer.

"It's going to be a hell of a fight – Ruiz vs Joshua II."
