Tyson Fury reveals talks to fight Jarrell Miller in October before Deontay Wilder rematch

Tyson Fury has named Jarrell Miller and Trevor Bryan as two possible opponents for his next fight in October.

Fury is set to meet WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder next year in a highly-anticipated rematch after their first bout ended in a controversial draw in December 2018.

The 30-year-old has fought once since then – a second round stoppage win over the mismatched Tom Schwarz in his Las Vegas debut in June.

Fury has no immediate plans to fight in the UK again with ESPN keen to keep him State-side for the foreseeable future.

While Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev emerged as an early contender for Fury’s next fight, an American opponent is now more likely.

And Miller, who failed three drug tests before his June meeting with Anthony Joshua was scrapped, is Fury’s favoured option.

“I’m looking at opponents, ESPN want an American opponent that is well known,” Fury told BT Sport.

“I suggested Jarrell Miller. He’s well known, he’s unbeaten and was highly ranked.

“There’s also Trevor Bryan on the list and he’s supposed to be fighting Manuel Charr for the WBA belt.

“There’s a couple of other Americans that nobody has really heard of, or they’ve got no reputation, so we’re between a rock and a hard place.

“There’s obviously Wilder but that’s been done for February so we need an October opponent.”

Bryan, the other name on Fury’s list, is undefeated in 20 professional fights.
