Tyson Fury responds to Deontay Wilder's latest cheating claims

Tyson Fury has dismissed Deontay Wilder's rambling accusations of cheating during their heavyweight rematch.

Wilder was stopped by Fury in the seventh round of their sequel in February as the Briton was crowned world champion for a second time.

But instead of accepting defeat, Wilder has dreamed up a litany of excuses and accused Fury of tampering with his gloves.

The American said: "I highly believe you put something hard in your glove, something the shape and size of an egg... the reason why the side of head swelled up in the shape of an egg and left a dent in my head."

Fury and his team have always denied the accusations given the gloving up process is observed by a member of the opposition's team and the governing body.

And now the champion has told talkSPORT: "I think he has lost his marbles.

"First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves... now someone has spiked his water.

"It’s one of those things, isn't it."

Fury had been due to face Wilder for a third time in July but the coronavirus crisis delayed the bout until first October and then December.

Fury then pulled the plug on the trilogy clash when it became clear it would not take place this year.

He will instead defend his world title against Agit Kabayel at the Royal Albert Hall on December 5.

And he added: "The original date was July 18. That didn't happen because he had an injury so it got put back three months to October, then that didn't happen because they were trying to get a venue.

“And then they had three dates in December – 5th, 12th, 19th – which I agreed to all them and obviously that didn't happen. So, I’m not going to wait around forever."
