Tyson Fury responds to call-out from UFC champion Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury has vowed to "roast" Francis Ngannou after the UFC star called out the Gypsy King.

The 32-year-old's next bout is expected to be against heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua.

But he has posted on Instagram stating that he will take on Ngannou after the all-British contest.

Ngannou secured a major win over Stipe Miocic last month at UFC 260 to win the Heavyweight Championship.

He is now being lined up for a huge bout with Jon Jones, but clearly has his sights set elsewhere.

He said: "I don't want to fight Mike Tyson but I would like to fight another heavyweight boxer such as Tyson Fury.

"Absolutely. I'm open to that. Remember boxing was my primary dream and I still have the fire, the dream inside me and I believe at some point, I'm gonna make a step.”

Fury has since responded on social media posting a picture of Ngannou and Mike Tyson with the words: "After I smash Anthony Joshua I'll roast that guy also".

Conor McGregor was a high profile UFC star who delved into the world of boxing when he took on Floyd Mayweather.

Fury's short-term future though involves trying to tie up a deal to take on Joshua.

The Gypsy King has not been seen in the ring since beating Deontay Wilder over a year ago.

But there is a huge demand for a unification fight between two men who both believe they are the best in their division.

Fury has declared that the fight will definitely occur.

He said: “I think it will 100 per cent happen, one million per cent happen, and I think we are going to know within the next couple of days who, what, where and when.

“I’m pretty confident this fight is going to get made in the next few days because, from what I have heard, there are some big players involved and some big offers come in from very rich people and very rich countries.

"So I am sure that they are going to be good offers.”
