Tyson Fury rates Deontay Wilder as a more dangerous opponent than Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury believes Deontay Wilder is a more dangerous fighter than Anthony Joshua.

Fury has drawn one and won one of this two fights with Wilder and is due to face his rival for a third time later this year.

Should he emerge victorious, Fury will then set his sights on fellow Brit and world champion Joshua in 2021.

The rivals have agreed terms for a double-header in order to crown the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

And Fury believes Wilder will prove a tougher test for him than his fellow countryman.

" Deontay Wilder is the second best heavyweight in the world; I believe he knocks out Anthony Joshua and everyone else behind me," he said.

Fury and Wilder were due to meet next month for their trilogy fight but the coronavirus crisis has postponed the bout until the winter.

Australia, New Zealand and China are in the running to host the clash in the hope crowds will be able to return to arenas.

And Fury expects a better version of the Wilder he stopped in the seventh round of their second fight.

"As I'm a realist, in heavyweight boxing, and messing with the most vicious puncher in history, I'm not overlooking anyone," he added.

"Deontay Wilder is still the most dangerous boxer for me; even after a defeat he's still the most dangerous because when a fighter gets beat he can either come back ten times stronger or fold.

"I believe Deontay Wilder in the way he carries himself and believes in himself he'll come back stronger and with a better game plan and he'll try harder and try to do things differently.

"I'm not saying he can but he'll give it a try which makes him more dangerous.

"If I don't focus 110 per cent like last time there won't be any other fights and I'll just be carried out the ring on a stretcher."
