Tyson Fury planning Dublin trip to train in MMA with Conor McGregor

Tyson Fury is planning a trip to Dublin to train with Conor McGregor in an effort to arrange a Mixed Martial Arts bout.

The 'Gypsy King', who just two weeks ago made his WWE debut, has announced his interest in doing a UFC bout, despite Dana White's apparent disinterest.

Speaking on Today with Miriam O'Callaghan on RTÉ Radio 1, Fury said: "I think Conor is an absolute fantastic fighting man, he's offered to train me if I ever want to go in to MMA.

"What better trainer would I ever have than 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor... I look forward to being over in Dublin quite soon... it's definitely going to happen."

White last week laughed off Tyson Fury ’s plan to become an MMA fighter after Fury claimed that he fancies a bout with UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic.

But he believes Fury should stick to boxing, saying: “Fury’s worked hard his whole life to become one of the top four [heavyweights] in the world in boxing.

“Why would you wanna even come over and attempt this? I don’t think it ends well for him. It doesn’t make sense for his career.”
