Tyson Fury has forked out £1.5m to settle a court case with his old promoter Mick Hennessy.
The Gypsy King agreed to pay Hennessy after he claimed a breach of contract.
Fury made his debut in 2008 on a Hennessy card before going on to fight under his promotional banner when he won the world title from Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
He would then go on to have two years away from boxing as he battled mental health issues.
But has returned triumphantly with new promoter Frank Warren, winning and draw his two fights with heavyweight rival Deontay Wilder.
Hennessy went about legal action after he felt the 31-year-old has ignored the terms of their original agreement.
The fight was set to be heard by the courts before the pair settled their differences, thanks in part to a hefty pay off.
A source told the Sun : “Both Tyson and Mick thought they were in the right.
“Mick brought legal action and Tyson decided it was easier to settle rather than go through a drawn-out legal battle.
“Both are happy they are now able to move on.”
Fury's net worth is now £70m with a trilogy bout against the American coming up before a potential all-British contest against Anthony Joshua.
Hennessy was previously very complimentary about the Gypsy King having said: "Tyson was the highest-profile fighter who stuck with me through really tough times.
“He showed what he is made of, which is unique. It was loyalty.”
Fury admitted last year in his book though that the pair no longer spoke which was "very sad".
