Tyson Fury opens up on life in coronavirus lockdown as he details training regime

Tyson Fury has opened up on life in lockdown, admitting he has had to improvise to maintain his fitness levels during the coronavirus crisis.

The British boxer is preparing to fight Deontay Wilder for a third time this year after dethroning the American of his heavyweight world titles last month.

That fight was set for July 18 in Las Vegas but the ongoing coronavirus epidemic looks set to push the heavyweight title fight back to October.

And the deadly disease has also forced Fury to amend his training regime, with the Brit recently launching a live video workout on Instagram.

He told ITV's Good Morning Britain: “It’s quite difficult because obviously I’m not allowed to go to gyms and train.

“However, I have been doing, every morning at 9am, a workout video live with the world on Instagram.

“We do a 50 minute workout, it really helps stay in shape, and it helps many, many people joining in from around the world.

“I’m very grateful I can help people with their fitness and their mental health troubles in these lockdown times.”

Fury also detailed the chores he has been given at home by wife Paris, added: “I am glad you did ask about the bins, because I’m struggling.

"The binman comes in my area once every two weeks. I have a truck load of rubbish that needs to go to the tip but I can’t take it because it’s closed.

“I’m just piling up rubbish, stockpiling, hoarding! I’ve got to wait until next Monday now when the binman comes, and he’ll only take two bin bags and I’ve got about 15 full!

“You don’t realise, but having the kids off school all day, every day, we’re getting through so much shopping and rubbish it’s unbelievable.

“They’re like a hot knife through butter!”
