Tyson Fury offers to welcome Francis Ngannou to boxing after Anthony Joshua fights

Tyson Fury has welcomed the challenge of UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou, who beat Stipe Miocic last month to win the belt, is planning a move into boxing before he hangs up his gloves.

And Fury is ready to welcome him - after his double-header with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.

"I'd love to fight Ngannou," he told ESPN. "I love the celebrity boxers coming into boxing, the UFC fighters and the wrestlers coming into this game.

"Whoever they put in front of me, those are the ones I'm going to fight. Ngannou is a massive guy, he has huge muscles and he looks the part.

"He's a big name, he just beat Stipe in a fight and he's talking about boxing but this is a different world.

"I'll eat him up and spit him out seven times a day. If I go into MMA and he starts grabbing me and ripping to the floor it's not going to be an even match.

"It'll be 10 times harder for him coming to boxing than me going to MMA, its a different world."

Fury must first complete his deal to fight fellow heavyweight world champion Joshua having signed a two-fight contract last month.

The rivals have agreed to fight in Saudi Arabia this summer with just the final details - including the date - to be ironed out.

Promoter Eddie Hearn expects to make an official announcement within six to 10 days following exhaustive negotiations.

It is expected the rematch will then take place in December with Cardiff the frontrunner to play host.

When asked about his game plan for Joshua, Fury added: "It's pretty simple - hit him in the face a few times and he'll fall over.

"He doesn't have the biggest heart, he hasn't got the most resilience and he's not the hardest to hit. When I land it's gonna be over quite quickly.

"I hope and praying it's going to be AJ (next) but I'm not going to wait around for ever: I need to be active and I need to be busy.

"It's up to Top Rank to make that happen. They're my promotional team and I'm sure they're going to keep me busy this year.

"I need two fights this year regardless of who it's going to be. Let's make it happen."
