Frank Warren has revealed Tyson Fury's next fight date will be on March 26th but the opponent and venue have not been shared.
Fury is set to be active in the first quarter in the year ahead of a potential heavyweight unification bout later in 2022 but his opponent is still to be decided.
The WBC have ordered a defence of the heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte but terms between the two fighters are yet to be agreed.
Time is now ticking down on an agreement, with a date for the next fight now seemingly set in stone, and Warren has confirmed alternatives to Whyte are being considered.
"Tyson wants the fight to be the end of March. As a team we're looking at other situations as well," he told iFL TV.
"Whatever happens he will fight on March 26, that's what the objective is. I'm not going to say where it is.
"We do have a date here but it could be somewhere else. The fact of the matter is that's when he wants to fight."
Fury has teased a crossover fight with UFC champion Francis Ngannou this week, following comments from the Cameroonian regarding his new contract with the organisation.
Andy Ruiz Jr has also been touted as a potential next opponent for Fury, though fights against Ngannou and Ruiz would be expected to take place in the United States.
Fury has not fought in the UK since 2018 and a defence against Whyte is widely expected to take place in the UK, if agreed.
