Tyson Fury makes WWE debut in same venue where he fought Deontay Wilder

Lineal heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury was back at the Staples Centre after his fight with Deontay Wilder, but the ring he was attempting to get into was much different.

The boxing superstar fought to a draw with WBC champ Wilder in Los Angeles at the end of last year, and came back to LA in the hopes of taking on another massive challenge.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown made its debut on Fox in the United States last night, and they pulled out all of the stops for the big opening night, including an appearance from Fury.

The 'Gypsy King' made an appearance as one of a number of celebrity guests in the crowd, but when WWE Superstar Braun Strowman began to taunt Fury, the boxing star jumped the barrier to confront him.

And Tyson Fury's next professional wrestling appearance has already been announced for next Monday's episode of Raw.

WWE revealed that the foul-mouthed boxing star will be given a live microphone on their flagship show at 1 AM on Monday night/Tuesday morning to address Braun Strowman.

It was a star-studded affair in Los Angeles last night, with Dwayne 'The Rock' making an appearance alongside Dubliner Becky Lynch to open the show.
