Tyson Fury makes bold prediction for tonight's Tom Schwarz fight

Tyson Fury warned Tom Schwarz that he will knock him out in the first round of their heavyweight fight tonight.

Fury made the prediction after scaling 18st 11lbs at Friday's weigh-in, significantly heavier than his opponent, who was 17st 7.5lbs.

The Brit is fighting for the first time since his controversial draw with world champion Deontay Wilder last December.

And as he stared down his unbeaten but unknown opponent, Fury said: "Time to go to school sucker. I'm going to knock you out you bum; you're getting it, you bum. You p****.

"You're getting knocked out you p****."

At that point Schwarz pulled out a Snickers bar and ate it, imitating Andy Ruiz Jr who did the same before he stunned Anthony Joshua two weeks ago.

Fury then added: "You're getting it you p****. I'm knocking you out in one round... one round.

"I promise you, I'm knocking you out in a round you third-rate dosser, you big dosser. You're getting it, Tom, you're getting it."

Fury's prediction was at odds with previous comments which suggested he will take time to get started.

"I've been out of the ring for (over) six months, so I'll have to start again," he said.

"That's seven months' inactivity. I only had six months of activity before that. They spoke about (Gennady) Golovkin being out of the ring for nine months as his biggest lay-off ever; I've just had seven.

"Seven months out of the ring is a hell of a long time. I hope I'm going to get active this next six months; the first six months of this year have been quite terrible because I didn't get the fight I wanted and have been made to wait until June.

"Going 12 rounds with Deontay Wilder doesn't give me any confidence. It actually makes me have concerns - I thought I could get Deontay Wilder out of there within six rounds, so having to go 12 with him wasn't great. I should have done better.

"Against Wilder I was 17st 12lbs; today I'm 18st 12lbs. (But) I've put on a stone of muscle in all of the right places."
