Tyson Fury leads rowdy boxing fans in X-rated "AJ is a p****" chant

Tyson Fury branded heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua a "p****" during a sing-a-long with his fans on Thursday night.

The 'Gypsy King' is currently touring the UK after retaining his heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout in October.

He is planning a three-fight year in 2022 which could include a clash with domestic star Joshua who is first expected to rematch Oleksandr Usyk.

And his army of supporters were quick to join in from the audience as the 33-year-old put on a typically showman-like performance in Manchester, shouting "AJ is a p****".

He also sang a rendition of American Pie which he had belted out after his rematch victory over Wilder in Las Vegas back in 2020.

Joshua and Fury had agreed to fight earlier this year before talks broke down.

A deal was agreed for a mega-money British undisputed showdown in Saudi Arabia, but Fury was instead forced to face a third test against Wilder.

That saw Joshua turn to Usyk only for the Londoner to lose his three belts for the second time in two years.

Fury is expected to take on mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte with a ruling from the WBC expected shortly.

But Joshua could step aside from his upcoming rematch against Usyk and clear the path for Fury to challenge the Ukrainian for all four belts.

Fury's promoters Frank Warren and Bob Arum have offered different accounts of the situation with Warren suggesting that talks have begun with Joshua for the offer to materialise.

“Everyone wants to see him [Tyson Fury] and Usyk,” Warren said in an interview with iFL TV. “AJ, I've seen his interview last week, which is a little bit confusing.

"If you listen to it and what he’s saying, he’s basically saying, ‘If I get the right money, I’ll step aside.’

“So that’s really where we got to get to as a team. That’s the Tyson Fury team, and we’re all working hard to make that happen, and it may just happen."

Joshua has recently re-opened the door to stepping aside for Fury to face Usyk but only if he is guaranteed to face the winner later next year.

And his promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed it would take a fee of £40million for his fighter to consider skipping his chance of redemption.

"We've had their team reach out to us," Hearn confirmed to Boxing King Media.

Asked if it would require a seven-figure sum, Hearn said: "Seven figures? A million? If you want to get him not to fight Oleksandr Usyk you have to times that by 40..."

Hearn continued: "At the moment there is communication between the two teams to say is it something... and the answer is AJ has not been spoken to about this yet.

"I'll deal with it and when I feel there's an opportunity for Anthony and 258 [Management] we'll sit down with them and present it to them but I won't do that until it's the right opportunity.

"If there's a route and an offer and it makes sense then we'll see but right now, it's just conversations between the camps.

"At the moment Anthony Joshua is fighting Oleksandr Usyk and that's the situation."
