Tyson Fury will begin his fight camp for his rematch with Deontay Wilder on 10 January – six weeks before his meeting with the WBC heavyweight champion.
After victories over Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin and a brief stint in WWE, Fury’s focus now switches back to Wilder with the two set to meet on 22 February after their thrilling first bout ended in a controversial draw.
With tongue firmly in cheek, the Briton suggested he might be heading to Barbados to prepare for his second crack at the WBC title – with father John Fury set to decide where they will set up.
Fury told BT Sport: “10th January, the official start date, we are off.
“I think we are going to Barbados, I just think, I’m not sure. Wherever my dad wants to take us, that’s where we are going.”
While a date for the Fury fight has been set, Wilder must come through a test against Luis Ortiz on 23 November.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ was given one of the toughest examinations of his career against the Cuban in March 2018 with the two set to meet in a rematch in Las Vegas this month.
