Tyson Fury has been warned that Oleksandr Usyk is 'trouble' ahead of a potential unification bout between the pair next year.
The Ukrainian took Anthony Joshua's three heavyweight belts with victory in north London last month and the pair are due to go toe-to-toe again in a rematch.
Usyk's victory scuppered any immediate chance of a unification bout between AJ and Fury - and it could lead to Usyk being a future opponent for the Gypsy King.
While Fury holds aspiration of facing off against Joshua in a fight that will be dubbed the 'Battle of Britain', he may be led towards where the belts are.
If Usyk overcomes Joshua once again, a unification bout against the Ukrainian may be on the cards for Fury - and he has been warned by former junior welterweight world champion Chris Algieri that he won't find it easy.
“I think stylistically, Joshua falls into the hands of Tyson. Too athletic, too much movement, and too much conditioning. We saw Joshua get tired in the Usyk fight from that movement and that rhythm, making him miss," he told iFL TV.
“Usyk, I think is trouble for everybody. He’s very elusive and very good at changing his rhythm. Things that Tyson is good at. It’ll be an interesting fight.”
Fury may face Dillian Whyte as his next opponent, if his fellow Brit maintains his WBC mandatory challenger status by defeating Otto Wallin later this month.
The WBC could then order a bout, with a unification fight off the table for now due to Joshua's rematch clause with Usyk.
Dates for a bout with Whyte and the rematch between Joshua and Usyk are yet to be officially confirmed.
