Tyson Fury issued fresh Eddie Hearn warning amid Anthony Joshua unification hopes

Anthony Joshua is fully focused on his upcoming rematch with Oleksandr Usyk and hasn't thought about a potential unification bout with Tyson Fury, Eddie Hearn has said.

Hopes of a heavyweight unification bout in the near future were shattered after Joshua 's defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in September.

The Brit swiftly exercised a rematch clause against Usyk, as he seeks to win back the three titles he lost at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

While Fury remains keen on securing a bout against the winner of the rematch, AJ's promoter Hearn has made it clear it's not on the mind of the 2012 Olympian.

"AJ is already in camp physically and mentally for the Usyk rematch, and it's all he has thought about since the night of the first fight," he told Sky Sports.

"I have a meeting planned with [Usyk's promoter] Alex Krassyuk to start working on proposed venues for the spring rematch. It's a huge fight and we believe AJ can become a three-time world heavyweight champion."

The winner of AJ vs Usyk 2 is widely expected to face-off against Fury in a unification bout later next year.

In the meantime, Fury is set to defend his WBC heavyweight title, with a fight likely to take place in the UK, although a potential opponent is unknown.

It was expected that the WBC would order a defence against Dillian Whyte this week but that did not occur, despite the fact Whyte is mandatory challenger.

Fury could now defend his belt against another opponent while the WBC concludes it's arbitration case with Whyte.
