Tyson Fury insists he is ‘ready for war’ with Deontay Wilder despite his bloody battle with Otto Wallin on Sunday.
Fury secured an unanimous decision win over Wallin in Las Vegas but suffered two deep cuts over his right eye that required 47 stiches after a bruising 12-rounder.
Contracts for a rematch with WBC champion Wilder have been signed for 22 February with Fury once again calling out ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in the aftermath of the Wallin win.
His promoter Frank Warren later claimed that fight could be pushed back as a result of the injuries ‘The Gypsy King’ suffered in the ring.
But Fury insists he will be ready to go into battle.
"I'm ready for war. I think it was just over 40 stitches inside and out with both the cuts,” he told BBC Sport.
"Listen I'm all right. It's boxing. You can't go swimming and not get wet. It's the fight game."
A trip the hospital didn’t prevent Fury from making the most of time in Vegas before heading back to the UK.
"I went to the hospital, had a few stitches, went home and had an early night," he said.
"Then I've got up, gone to the casino, won five grand, had a few beers and now I'm going to have a few more beers."
