Tyson Fury gives prediction for Andy Ruiz Jr vs Anthony Joshua rematch

Tyson Fury reckons Andy Ruiz Jr will knock out Anthony Joshua for a second time in their December rematch.

Joshua lost his world heavyweight titles when he was stunned by Ruiz in New York in June and is now facing a Saudi Arabia rematch on December 7 which was confirmed by Eddie Hearn this week.

Ruiz Jr has stated he has no intention of travelling to the Middle East and could try to get out of the rematch despite Hearn claiming contracts have been signed.

But regardless of where the fight takes place, Fury reckons the outcome will be the same with Ruiz stopping his British rival.

Fury told ESPN : "I'm a big believer in when one door closes, another one opens and it was all about Joshua at that time when he was fighting Ruiz.

"When he fought Ruiz, no-one gave him [Ruiz] a prayer, but now it's all about Ruiz and I believe Ruiz does exactly the same the second time around and then Ruiz takes his place as the three-headed monster."

Many compared Joshua's loss to the upset defeat Lennox Lewis suffered against Hasim Rahman back in 2001.

On that occasion, Lewis returned to conquer his foe in the rematch - but Fury has outlined why Joshua will not be able to emulate the legendary former champion.

He said: "I thought Ruiz won every round in that fight. It wasn't a fluke punch like Hasim Rahman and Lennox Lewis. In the rematch, Lewis turned up and didn't get hit with a punch and knocked him out.

"He [Joshua] clearly lost the rounds - he was getting outboxed, he was getting outfought and then he got knocked down three times to boot."
